Some artists design pharmaceutical logos at their jobs, others layout lower thirds. Me? I am lucky enough to draw bulldogs mounting royal corgis and two elderly women destroying history. Welcome to Ditmars.
New York, 2011: Murphy’s law has hit Nugent Cantileno and Joshua Page as they sit on the side of the road, car broken down. This is where, literally from the gutter, Ditmars came into existence. What if there were two older ladies who said all the wrong things at the right times? What if they were that elderly person we all know and love, but leaves us speechless? What if this entire town has some sort of bizarre flair of dysfunction? Yes, Ditmars has arrived.
The Majors Productions, LLC set out to let the world know about Ditmars and that our grannies, June and Ethel, were ready to take over. Along the way, The Majors Productions, LLC teamed up with Jeanne Jacqueline, LLC and Arden & Co. LLC to elevate the cartoons success.
Enter Lizzy. Looking left, right, up and down, the Producers sought out the correct cartoonist to breathe life into our heroines. One magical day, I came across these two Producers (Nugent Cantileno and Jeanne J. Coppola) who asked me to drew a tough looking wench in a wheel chair and a strangely, saggy boobed elder with a trachea hole. The stars had aligned, Ditmars gained its official style, and I was on board.
Ever since, we have been taking social media by storm by parodying known images and developing original skits…and we have no intention of stopping…so watch out ;)
